Get something good on the grill
When the weather starts heating up, so do the grills! This year, get a good start on the grilling season by making some simple swaps with GreenWise meats. All our GreenWise meats are USDA-regulated, fed 100 percent vegetarian diets, and raised without antibiotics. We’ve gathered a few recipes to inspire you not only to feel good about what you’re grilling, but also to feel good about what you’re eating!
Why are skewers so popular at a cookout? Probably because they only require one hand, freeing up the other hand to hold a beverage or grab a runaway toddler. Sideline Sausage Skewers have a great balance of flavors that is enhanced even more when you use fresh GreenWise chicken sausage. Get the recipe here.
Steak. The head honcho. The big daddy. The king meat of the grill. When done right, steaks wow the crowd more than anything else. Give ’em what they want by serving GreenWise Angus New York strip steak with a duo of sauces. Find the recipe here.
Pork chops are incredible barbecue food, especially when they’re brined and marinated for optimal juiciness. This recipe is sweet and spicy, which gives the pork chops a soft kick. It’s fine to swap the bone-in chops the recipe calls for with GreenWise pork loin boneless chops, but they will have slightly different cook times. For juicy pork chops every time, use a meat thermometer to make sure you don’t overcook them! Get the recipe here.
There’s usually more than one kind of potato salad at a cookout, but this might be the only kind that’s cooked on the grill! And considering it also has bacon, you might want to make a few extra batches. To try something unique, GreenWise applewood bacon would be an excellent swap in this dish. Find the recipe here.
Don’t put away the grill just yet—it’s dessert time! Some of the most fabulous desserts can be made on a grill, like our Mini Muffin Cobbler. This deconstructed creation starts with canned peaches, dried and dabbed with oil. Grill them just enough to add a bit of smoky flavor and transfer to a bowl. Crumble some GreenWise mini muffins over the peaches, top with GreenWise vanilla ice cream, and voila! Find out more here.
